10 things I’ve learned in 10 years of web design and development

I realised when I turned 30 in July that it's been more than 10 years since I started building websites (actually it's more like 13), and in that time I've accumulated a shit-ton of knowledge about what I do - some of it useful, some of it retarded - and it might be helpful / funny / interesting / libelous if I shared some of it with the 9 people that visit every month. So, over the next few weeks I'm going to be posting my rambling thoughts on the things I've learned along this path to obscurity. Read, comment, ignore, disparage - the choice is yours*.

*I'm taking bets that ITV bring back Blind Date next year, once Big Brother has finally been exorcised from our screens - the minions need something to entertain their tiny minds.

About P14 ( not "us" - me! )

There's no 'us' here, I'm not going to try and sound like a multi-national conglomerate, it's just me (Luc Pestille) trying to create websites for people who want them. There's no high art to it, just high quality. I specialise in front-end design and development, and Expression Engine / WordPress integration.

Currently... what?

I'm currently building a monitoring app that's launching launched at FOWA in October, re-designing the little blog network I'm involved in, and playing too much CoD4, so I'm not taking on any more projects currently. You might catch me in a giving mood though, so do get in touch and I'll try and squeeze you in.
